First Impressions

This was a rare opportunity and a very huge treat to be in the right place at the right time. We were just about to leave the park when I noticed a big commotion going on between the flamingos in the far back of the exhibit. This was a very difficult photo to obtain since it was mostly blocked by plants and other restless flamingos by the nests but by far very much worth it. The mother was very emotional, not letting any of the others get anywhere near her chick and she was quick in trying to coax it to stand up. Unfortunately we did not get to see the baby stand due to a massive storm that began to torrentially downpour on us, but I was so happy to get to see the chick hatch from the egg.
